Uninstall GPT for Excel

To remove the GPT for Excel add-in from Excel and Word on Windows (both desktop and web versions) and Mac (web version), follow these steps. For specific removal instructions on the Mac desktop app, visit Microsoft Office's support website.

  1. From your workbook, select Add-ins in the Home tab.

    Note: If you're on a Mac, select Get Add-ins in the Insert tab.

  2. Click More Add-ins.

    The Office Add-ins pop-up opens.

  3. In the MY ADD-INS tab, hover over GPT for Excel Word and click on the Options menu.

  4. Select Remove.

    A pop-up appears.

  5. Click Remove to confirm.

  6. Remove all GPT formulas from your sheets to prevent Excel from trying to reinstall the add-in.

The GPT for Excel add-in is removed from Microsoft Excel and Word. If you ever need to use the add-in again, you can follow the installation process at any time.
