Set up your OpenAI API key

Activate GPT for Sheets and Docs with a one-time setup using your OpenAI API key. You can set up your key from Google Sheets, or you can set it up from Google Docs.

• The setup process for the OpenAI API key is common to Google Sheets and Docs. However, at the moment, the procedure within Google Docs is being further developed to provide a smoother experience. Therefore, we recommend setting up your OpenAI API key from Google Sheets.
• Once you have completed the setup in Google Sheets, you can get started with GPT for Docs.
